A free, offline-first companion app for a self-drive holiday in the Kruger National Park. It lets you log wildlife sightings with one tap, navigate the park with no signal, and browse a field guide to 360+ animals — photos, calls, ID tips and where to find them.
Yes — completely. No ads, no subscription, no account, and no tracking. If it makes your trip better you can optionally buy us a coffee, but nothing is locked behind payment.
Open the app once while you have WiFi or signal and tap “Save map” and “Save photos” in the About tab. The map, your saved routes, the whole field guide, animal photos and calls are then stored on your phone — so everything keeps working deep in the park where there is no coverage.
Open the app in your phone’s browser, then use “Add to Home screen” (Share menu on iPhone/Safari, or the browser menu on Android/Chrome). It then launches like a normal app, full-screen and offline.
Everything — your sightings, trips and settings — is stored only on your own device. There are no accounts and we don’t track you or collect your data. You can back up and export your data yourself from the About tab, and move it to another phone.
No. MyKrugerHoliday is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SANParks. It’s a general guide — always follow official park rules, signage, gate times and current SANParks notices.
Any reasonably modern phone with a web browser — Android or iPhone — and it also runs on a laptop or tablet. There’s nothing to download from an app store; it installs straight from the browser.
