African Green Pigeon
Papegaaiduif · Treron calvus
A colourful green-and-yellow pigeon that behaves like a parrot, clambering and hanging acrobatically among branches to reach ripe fruit. Flocks gather noisily in fruiting fig trees along the rivers. Despite its bright colours it is easily missed among the leaves. It is resident all year.
