African Pygmy Kingfisher
Dwergvisvanger · Ispidina picta
A jewel-bright summer migrant, even smaller than a Malachite Kingfisher, with a blue back, orange underparts, a red bill and lovely lilac wash on the cheeks. Despite being a kingfisher it hunts in the bush, snapping up insects and small lizards. It arrives with the rains and heads north again before winter.
