African Wild Dog

A lean, long-legged hunter with big rounded ears and a mottled coat of black, tan and white patches, each one as unique as a fingerprint. Wild dogs live in tight-knit packs and are among Africa's most successful hunters, chasing prey over long distances. They are highly social, sharing food and caring for pups and injured pack members.

Look for its tracks
Dog print with claws, four toes; leaner than a hyena, and you'll often see many tracks of the pack.

Endangered and wide-ranging; packs are most often seen in the central and northern park, sometimes denning near roads.
