Cape Vulture

Kransaasvoël · Gyps coprotheres

Southern Africa's only endemic vulture and a true giant of the skies, the Cape Vulture breeds on sheer cliffs far from Kruger and drifts in to feed. Pale and broad-winged, it gathers in noisy crowds at carcasses, using its long bald neck to reach deep inside for meat.
