Goliath Heron

Reusereier · Ardea goliath

The Goliath Heron is the largest heron in the world, standing as tall as a grown-up! It has a slate-grey back and a rich chestnut head and neck. Wading slowly through deep water, it spears big fish with its enormous bill. It hunts alone and is often seen standing quietly in quiet backwaters and reedy shallows.
