Klipspringer

Klipspringer · Oreotragus oreotragus

The klipspringer is a small, sure-footed antelope that lives only among rocks and koppies. It has a coarse, speckled olive-grey coat and walks on the very tips of its hooves, like a ballerina, which helps it grip steep rock. Pairs mate for life and are often seen standing together on a boulder, scanning for danger with their rounded ears.
