Mozambique Spitting Cobra

Mosambiekse Spoegkobra · Naja mossambica

A nervous, quick cobra that can spray venom from its fangs up to two or three metres, aiming for the eyes of a threat. The venom is dangerous and can hurt the eyes, so it should never be approached. Salmon-pink underneath with dark throat bars, it spreads a slim hood when alarmed. It eats frogs, other snakes and small animals, often near water.
