Southern Reedbuck

Rietbok · Redunca arundinum

The southern reedbuck is a graceful, fawn-coloured antelope that lives in tall grass and reed beds near water. It has a bushy white-bottomed tail and, in the males, short forward-curving horns. Reedbuck often live in pairs and give a shrill whistle as they bound away, flashing the white underside of the tail as a warning to others.
