Spotted Flycatcher
Europese Vlieëvanger · Muscicapa striata
An unassuming grey-brown flycatcher that migrates each summer from Europe and western Asia, present around October to April and absent in winter. It perches upright on an exposed twig, makes a quick aerial dart to catch a passing insect, and returns to the same lookout. Faint streaking on the crown and breast separates it from local flycatchers.
