Black-bellied Bustard

A lanky, long-necked bustard of tall grassland, usually seen standing tall with its head held high above the grass. The male's courtship is famous for a strange two-part call ending in a cork-popping pop. It feeds on insects, seeds and small reptiles as it strides slowly through the veld.
