Bushbuck

Bosbok · Tragelaphus sylvaticus

The bushbuck is a small, secretive antelope that loves dense riverside bush. It has a rich brown coat dotted with white spots and a few faint stripes, and it tends to live alone rather than in herds. When alarmed it gives a sharp dog-like bark and bolts for cover, so most sightings are brief glimpses in the shadows.
