Laughing Dove

A small warm-pink dove sprinkled with black flecks across the chest instead of a collar. Its soft, chuckling call gives the bird its name. Tame and abundant, it gathers around camps, picnic sites and waterholes to feed on seeds, and breeds throughout the year.
