Lizard Buzzard

Akkedisvalk · Kaupifalco monogrammicus

A neat, compact grey raptor named for its taste for lizards, though it also takes snakes, insects and small rodents. It hunts patiently from a perch, dropping onto prey on the ground. The black central throat stripe and single white tail band are reliable clinchers.
