Rattling Cisticola
Bosveldtinktinkie · Cisticola chiniana
The commonest and most vocal cisticola of Kruger's bushveld, a small streaky-brown warbler with a rufous cap. It is best identified by its loud, distinctive song ending in a harsh rattle, delivered from an exposed perch on a bush or treetop. It feeds on insects in grass and low scrub, scolding intruders noisily and flicking its tail as it calls.
