Speckled Mousebird

Gevlekte Muisvoël · Colius striatus

A scruffy, long-tailed brown bird that scrambles mouse-like through dense vegetation in untidy groups. It feeds on leaves, fruit and buds, and on cold mornings whole parties huddle in a feathered ball to keep warm. Common in thickets and gardens, it is resident all year.
