White-breasted Cormorant

Witborsduiker · Phalacrocorax lucidus

A big black water bird with a white throat and breast that dives and chases fish underwater, propelled by powerful webbed feet. Because its feathers soak up water, it must perch afterwards with wings outstretched to dry off. It often shares fishing spots and roosts with darters and herons.
