Yellow Mongoose

Witkwasmuishond · Cynictis penicillata

A small, foxy-faced mongoose with a warm yellowish-orange coat and a bushy tail that often shows a white tip. Yellow mongooses dig and share burrow systems, sometimes living alongside ground squirrels and meerkats. They are active by day, trotting out to hunt insects, lizards, and mice, and frequently sit up on their haunches to scan the area for danger.
