Red-eyed Dove

The largest of Kruger's grey doves, with a deep purplish wash, a red eye-ring and a broad black collar. Its rolling six-note call comes from leafy trees, especially near water. It feeds on seeds and fruit and favours riverine woodland and rest camps year-round.
