Wahlberg's Eagle

A small, slim eagle that visits Kruger in summer to breed, then flies north for winter. Usually dark brown with a small pointed crest, it has a narrow tail it holds closed like a paddle. It hunts from a perch or while gliding, dropping onto lizards, birds and small mammals in the woodland below.
